DESCRIPTION:SciSoc are delighted to be welcoming Professor Steve Jones to 
 speak on Tuesday. \n\nA top expert on the genetics of snails\, Professor J
 ones has also studied the evolution and genetics of people\, which will fo
 rm the foundation of his fascintating talk on Tuesday.\n\nProfessor Jones 
 is one of the most well-known geneticists\, having written many books and 
 presented multiple television programs on evolution and biology. He has de
 lived the Reith Lectures on "The Language of Genes" and regularly appears 
 on comedy\, news and scientific programs\, and is regarded as very influen
 tial in the public engagement of science. \n\nIn his research career\, Pro
 fessor Jones has examined the relationship between habitat and genetic tra
 its in variation among snails\, and whether there have been any changes in
  response to climate change. \n\nProfessor Jones is such a well known name
  in popular science\, this talk will not be one to miss\, and his engaging
  manner will ensure it will be accesssible regardless of your scientific b
 ackground!\n\nThe talk is free to members\, £2 for non-members\, and\, of
