DESCRIPTION:My presentation will discuss the use of stem cell systems to r
 eplay human brain development\, and the application of that approach to st
 udy the cell and molecular biology of cerebral cortex development in healt
 h and disease\, as well as comparative studies of non-human primate develo
 pment. I will also discuss how we are using these systems to study how gen
 etic forms of Alzheimer's disease initiate and spread through the brain.
