DESCRIPTION:Jastrow factors enable the description of inter-particle corre
 lations in many-electron systems.  Current leading-edge quantum Monte Carl
 o simulations typically use two different sorts of Jastrow factor\, one to
  capture short-ranged correlations and another\, completely separate\, fac
 tor to account for long-range correlations.  In this talk I will present a
  new Jastrow factor which captures both long- and short-range inter-partic
 le correlations\, and moreover is cheaper and easier to use than the curre
 nt method.
