DESCRIPTION:I will show a selection of results from A Project Of Simulatin
 g The Local Environment (APOSTLE)\, a recent suite of zoom-in simulations 
 of cosmological regions chosen to match constraints on the mass and kinema
 tics of the Local Group of galaxies. I will focus on our attempts to addre
 ss the so-called small-scale problems of cosmology: missing satellites\, t
 oo-big-to-fail\, the plane of satellites\, cusp-core and the closely relat
 ed\, newly proposed 'missing dark matter' problem.
