DESCRIPTION:This symposium revisits the classic feminist text Nature\, Cul
 ture and Gender edited by Carol MacCormack and Marilyn Strathern. Contribu
 tors Sara Ahmed (Goldsmiths)\, Alain Pottage (LSE)\, Nanneke Redclift (UCL
 )\, Sarah Franklin (Cambridge)\, Barbara Bodenhorn (Cambridge) and Marilyn
  Strathern\n(Cambridge) will lead discussion and the event is followed by 
 the launch of Strathern's new book.\n \nBook Launch 5-6pm: Before and Afte
 r Gender: sexual mythologies of everyday life\, edited by Sarah Franklin a
 nd with an Afterword by Judith Butler (Hau Books\, 2016)\n \nThis event is
  cosponsored by the Cambridge Department of Sociology and the Goldsmith Ce
