DESCRIPTION:Lipid bilayers are ubiquitously found in biological systems as
the primary structural component of membranes\, and membranes composed of
mixtures of lipids can phase separate into coexisting liquid phases. The
domains in each leaflet are coupled\, so that domains in each leaflet are
colocalized. We discuss our recent measurement of the strength of this cou
pling using microfluidics and fluorescence microscopy. \n
