DESCRIPTION:Solid handling is an important issue in flow chemistry and rep
resents a special challenge in micro reactors\, which are readily subject
to clogging due to their reduced size. Here\, we investigate solid formati
on under laminar flow in a microfluidics geometry following a Buchwald-Har
twig amination reaction. Particulate morphology changes in a flow-dependen
t manner going from rosettes of needle-like crystals to more compact struc
tures. Clogging time was also found to depend on the applied flow rate.
