 Mildred Taylor’s work has continued to inspire readers\, teachers and re
 searchers alike.\n\nJoin us for a two-day symposium exploring the literary
  and educational significance of this landmark text\, along with related i
 ssues in children's literature\, teaching English Literature\, and represe
 ntation and diversity. You can book for either or both days.\n\nThe event 
 will conclude with workshops on classroom issues including using cover art
  in the classroom and preparing for UK Black History Month in October.\n\n
