DESCRIPTION:Details to follow.\n\nThe Hangenberg event at the end of Late
Devonian affected continental ecology with the loss many vertebrate groups
. Until recently\, the following 20 My was considered a depauperate interv
al for continental vertebrate fossils\nespecially tetrapods. Our work in t
he Tournaisian has uncovered many new chondrichthyans\, lungfishes and tet
rapods. Instead\, the Tournaisian saw a rapid diversification of\nthese gr
oups. Recovery from the Hangenberg event reset the trajectory of vertebrat
e evolution to the present day.\n\nAll welcome to attend\, free for member
s of the Sedgwick Club\, £2 for non-members. Refreshments provided!
