DESCRIPTION:The Cambridge Cancer Centre Early Detection Programme will hol
 d its annual symposium on Monday January 16th 2017. This is an opportunity
  for researchers across Cambridge and further afield who are engaged with 
 our programme to showcase their latest research and engage in key debates 
 related to early detection. \n\nProfessor Mark Krasnow of Stanford Univers
 ity School of Medicine\, will give the keynote address and updates on the 
 progress of the research within the Cambridge Early Detection Programme wi
 ll also be given. Professor Richard Gilbertson and Professor Stephen John 
 will debate the motion "Early Detection will do more harm than good" in wh
 ich the audience are warmly invited to participate.\n\nDr Zahid Latif\, Di
 rector of Early Detection Research at Cancer Research UK will give the con
 cluding remarks to the symposium.
