DESCRIPTION:The Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) is a part o
f the Sloan Digital Sky Survey III (SDSS-III\, 2009-2014)\, and has provid
ed the largest-ever three-dimensional map of nearly 1.2 million galaxies u
p to z~0.7. The main goal of the BOSS survey is to measure the cosmologica
l distance and hence cosmic expansion history by making use of the scale o
f the Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAOs) as a standard ruler\, and to acc
ess the growth history of the large-scale structure of the Universe by mea
suring the so-called Redshift-Space Distortion (RSD). In this talk\, we ar
e going to overview the final results on our analysis of BAO and RSD from
the data release 12 (DR12) in BOSS. If time is allowed\, we also discuss t
he issues in our understanding of the massive galaxies in BOSS from a gala
 xy-halo connection point of view.
