 ivity.\n\n*Deborah Confredo* (formerly Sheldon) is Professor and Director 
 of Graduate Programs in Music Education in the Boyer College of Music and 
 Dance at Temple University. Founder and conductor of Temple’s Night Owls
  Campus/Community Band\, Confredo’s specialties include instrumental reh
 earsal techniques and teaching methods\, assessment\, research\, music psy
 chology\, conducting\, wind band literature\, community bands\, and inform
 al music learning. Dr. Confredo has taught elementary and secondary instru
 mental music in Pennsylvania and New York. She has co-authored the texts T
 he Complete Woodwind Instructor: A Guidebook for the Music Educator and Le
 ssons in Performance (FJH)\, and is editor of Superior Bands in Sixteen We
 eks\, and Chorales and Rhythmic Etudes for Superior Bands. An instrumental
  editor\, arranger\, author\, and consultant for the FJH Music Company\, s
 he is lead author for the FJH publication Measures of Success®\, a multi-
 level band method for beginning and intermediate instrumentalists. Her num
 erous academic articles are published in the most recognized journals in m
 usic education. Dr. Confredo is in demand as clinician\, adjudicator\, gue
 st conductor\, and lecturer.\n
