DESCRIPTION:The PHE National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCR
AS) holds national data relating to patients’ cancer registrations in En
core. We now have access to radiotherapy (RTDS) and chemotherapy (SACT) d
atasets\, both of which can tell us more about each patient’s treatment
pathway. We are at the early stages of understanding these new datasets.
Treatment information can also be found in Encore as well as in a number
of other data sources\, including HES. Thus we have triangulated the tre
atment data sources and are now entering the clinical and analytical inter
pretation phase of our Glioblastoma project – we will present our findin
gs on the advantages of such data linkage\, in addition to the challenges.
