DESCRIPTION:Creativity experiments into inspiration and fixation often req
 uire participants to solve a design problem whilst being exposed to an exa
 mple solution and instructions for how to treat that example. However\, li
 ttle is known about the influence of such instructions on how participants
  design\, and the impact of the representation format of the examples on h
 ow participants communicate their ideas. In this presentation I will discu
 ss the experimental approach used to investigate design fixation and provi
 de additional explanations for some of the results found.
