DESCRIPTION:In this seminar I discuss the potential of planned facilities 
 - lepton and hadron colliders - to bring our understanding of the top quar
 k to the next level. The focus is on measurements of top quark properties 
 and interactions with exquisite sensitivity for signals of the physics tha
 t lies behind the Standard Model: the top quark mass measurement\, the sea
 rch for FCNC interactions involving top quarks and those characterizing th
 e top quark couplings to the gluon\, EW gauge bosons and the Higgs boson. 
 The precision that new experiments can achieve in these key measurements i
 s compared to the current state-of-the-art and the expectation for the com
 plete LHC programme.
