DESCRIPTION:Environment Induced Decoherence is a physical concept which gi
ves a dynamical explanation to the disappearance of quantum phenomenon in
the real world. In a few words\, it states that a quantum system is never
isolated so that quantum correlations disappear due to the action of the e
nvironment on the system. Focusing on finite-dimensional quantum systems u
ndergoing Markovian evolutions\, we show how the usual non-commutative Poi
ncare and log-Sobolev inequalities can be adapted in order to capture the
 speed of decoherence.
