s capture - Professor Charles Faul\, Chemistry\, Uni of Bristol

DESCRIPTION:Aniline-based materials have a very long history in the field
of conducting organic materials.  The development of new synthetic and
theoretical methodologies are now yielding a next generation of materia
ls for electronic and photonic applications. We have designed novel elect
roactive amphiphiles\, with reversibly tuneable packing and thus supramol
ecular assembled structures. We are now exploring new applications\, inc
luding 3D-printed addressable photonic structures\, as well as a range of
new materials for highly selective and tuneable CO2 and I2 capture.
Additionally\, these activities now act as a platform for our current TD-
DFT studies to accurately model spin and doped states.
