ng inertial sensors - Manon Kok\, Department of Electrical Engineering\, L

DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will give an overview of my PhD research. I wil
l first introduce the topic of position and orientation estimation using i
nertial sensors and our approach to solving the problem. The information f
rom the inertial sensors typically needs to be combined with measurements
from other sensors and / or with additional models. I will discuss a numbe
r of examples of this that we have been working on: inertial human body mo
tion capture\, and the use of magnetometers and ultrawideband in combinati
 on with inertial sensors.
