DESCRIPTION:The Human Machine Interfaces (controls and displays) in vehicl
es have been evolving since the car was invented. This talk will explore t
his evolution through taking an Inclusive Design* view\, and highlight exa
mples of both convergence\, where consistency of interface design between
brands and models improves\, and divergency\, where the opposite occurs.
\n\n*Inclusive Design (BS7000 pt.6): "The design of mainstream products an
d/or services that are accessible to\, and usable by\, as many people as r
easonably possible\, on a global basis\, in a wide variety of situations a
nd to the greatest extent possible without the need for special adaptation
  or specialised design."
