DESCRIPTION:We describe the split-LDPC codes for channel coding of non-uni
form sources.\nFirstly\, we give their encoding structure and illustrate t
heir performance at finite length.\nThen\, we study the stability conditio
n of split-LDPC under iterative decoding and\nthe evolution of message den
sities on the graph representation. We also propose\na description of spli
 t-LDPC decoding as a bi-dimensional dynamic system associated\nto a very a
ccurate Gaussian approximation of message densities.
