DESCRIPTION:<b>A comparison of complex profiles analyzed with different so
ftware tools</b> <br><span><br>The second part of this talk will document
the creation and evaluation of ground-truth samples of increasing complex
ity. Variables include: the number of contributors\, the amount of allele
sharing\, variability in template amount\, and varying mixture ratios of c
ontributors <span>in mixed samples. These samples will be used to evaluate
the efficacy of four open-source implementations of likelihood ratio appr
oaches to estimating the weight of evidence: Lab Retriever (an implementat
ion of likeLTD v2)\, LRMix Studio\, European Forensic Mixture\, and likeLT
D v6. This work was initiated during the summer of 2016 in conjunction wit
h the special semester at the Newton Institute devoted to <i>Probability a
nd Statistics in Forensic Science</i>\, and continue at the time of submis
sion of this abstract. We look forward to presenting results &ldquo\;hot o
ff the press&rdquo\; at this meeting.</span></span>
