DESCRIPTION:There are many good motivations to open-source one’s code. I
t gives a project visibility and potential contributors who will help deve
lop new ideas (and find bugs!) For research projects\, it can be a way to
test theories and implementations in real-world settings. Still\, open sou
rce NLP is not as widespread as it could be\, especially in terms of devel
oping end-user applications. This workshop gathers open source practitione
rs and interested participants to discuss motivations\, methods and strate
gies.\n\nThe event is free and open to everyone - no need to register.\n\n
