DESCRIPTION:A group is called coherent if every finitely generated subgrou
 p of it is finitely presented. There exists many classical results about c
 oherence of various classes of groups. For instance\, fundamental groups o
 f 3-manifolds are coherent\, whereas the direct product of two non-Abelian
  free groups is not. In this talk\, I will discuss results about the coher
 ence of fundamental groups of aspherical Kähler surfaces.
