 e was formerly the technical\nlead at TAP Biosystems ( http://www.tapbiosy
 stems.com ) based in Royston who are the world\nleaders in R&D fermentatio
 n and bioprocess technology.\n \nHis talk will provide an introduction to 
 the principles and the detailed design and engineering of equipment to ana
 lyse biological samples\, the need for the development and why there was a
  need to make a bioanalyser when there are already some on the market.\n\n
 The talk will explain the need to close the loop on  bioprocess acidity co
 ntrol.\n\nThere will be a insight into pH instrumentation and some new mat
 hematical models of pH electrode processes\, beyond the traditional Nernst
 ian analyses.  Results will be presented with comparison to theoretical li
 mits and comment on the importance of up front checking of expectations an
 d desires against reality ahead of proceeding with development.\n\nMore in
