DESCRIPTION:For several decades foresight has been a field of practice pro
 viding decision support for science\, technology and innovation (STI) poli
 cy. Only recently has foresight begun to emerge as an academic field with 
 contributions and contributors from many different traditional academic di
 sciplines. The seminar will focus on the foundations of innovation system 
 foresight\, the practical challenges related to conducting innovation syst
 em foresight\, and its possible policy implications. Professor Per Dannema
 nd Andersen will draw on recent cases such as North Sea offshore wind serv
 ices. He will also explore the difficulties scholars face when striving to
  contribute to both the academic development of the field and to STI polic
 y practice.
