DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will present some of our recent results on mult
 ipartite entanglement manipulations and entanglement measures.\nIn particu
 lar\, I will present a generalization of the notion of maximally entangled
  bipartite states to the multipartite case and\nwill demonstrate a new app
 roach of quantifying entanglement using operational entanglement measures.
  Some new insights\ninto local protocols for entanglement manipulation uti
 lizing only finitely many rounds of classical communication and generic\nr
 esults on n-partite qubit states will be presented.
