 of Oxford)

DESCRIPTION:In the last decade cosmology has become a data driven science\
, thanks to a wealth of high-quality observational data. With the increase
in the quantity and quality of the observations\, we find ourselves in a
position where more sophisticated statistical analysis tools are required
to face the growing complexity of our cosmological models. The talk will g
ive an overview of some of the statistical challenges in modern cosmology\
, and discuss problems ranging from parameter inference to model selection
and also touch upon observers' selection effects.\n\n\n
