DESCRIPTION:Rose Anne Kenny is Professor of Medical Gerontology at Trinity
  College Dublin (TCD). She was appointed\, in 2005\, to TCD and St. James'
 s Hospital\, Dublin (SJH)\, as Head of the Academic Department of Medical 
 Gerontology and holds the Chair of Medical Gerontology. Rose Anne is the f
 ounding Principal Investigator of The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (
 www.tilda.ie) and the Director of Trinity EngAGE - the Centre for Research
  in Ageing at TCD. She is Director of the Mercer's Institute for Successfu
 l Ageing (MISA) and the Falls and Blackout Unit at SJH. Formerly Professor
  of Geriatric Medicine at the Institute for Ageing & Health\, Newcastle up
 on Tyne\, she is a world leader in research into cardiovascular and mobili
 ty disorders in ageing. Rose Anne is widely published\, with over 350 peer
 -reviewed publications\, 4 textbooks and 51 book chapters. She was elected
  as a Member of the Royal Irish Academy (MRIA) in 2014\, the highest acade
 mic honour in Ireland. Professor Kenny is a Fellow of Trinity College Dubl
 in and of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland\, London and Edinburg
 h.
