DESCRIPTION:Climate change is probably the most serious challenge facing b
 iodiversity conservation.  Brian will discuss how plant and animal species
  have responded to past climates\, and how species are being affected now.
  He will consider the likely future changes in plant communities and speci
 es distributions\, and how these will affect the management of nature rese
 rves.  He will describe the responses of conservation organisations to the
  challenges of climate change\, and the advent of landscape-scale conserva
 tion in the UK\, using the Great Fen and other local examples.
