DESCRIPTION:Quantum theory\, being inherently probabilistic\, leads to the
generation of randomness. If the quantum system and measuring apparatus t
hat produce the randomness are however treated as a 'black box' about whic
h the inner workings are not known\, then it becomes impossible to certify
that it is a genuine source of randomness. This problem can be overcome b
y using entangled particles distributed between numerous parties\, and rel
ies on quantum nonlocality. In this talk I will present a number of result
s about randomness certification in quantum theory based upon different va
 riants of quantum nonlocality.
