DESCRIPTION:Danny's research centres on scholarly communication with a spe
 cific interest in open access\, research assessment\, peer review\, author
 ship and higher education. Her role at the University of Cambrdge involves
  opening access to research outputs - publications and data – which invo
 lves aspects of advocacy\, professional development\, research and communi
 cation. This requires developing relationships with all levels\, from the 
 individual researcher\, to editors and publishers of journals and monograp
 hs\, funding bodies\, research institutions and government.\n\nDanny will 
 be discussing her role supporting academic research\, how she came to be w
 orking in this field and why this is a relevant and rewarding career area 
 for researchers considering a move away from the bench.\n
