DESCRIPTION:This is the first event in the `Cambridge Conversations in Tra
 nslation Lent series'. It will take the form of a panel discussion. Our tw
 o speakers\, Dr Adrià de Gispert and Dr Marcus Tomalin\, will discuss how
  machine translation systems work and they will explore the impact of rece
 nt advances in the technology. There will be plenty of opportunities to pa
 rticipate in the discussion\, so the panel session should be of interest i
 f you are currently undertaking research in this area\, or if you simply w
 ish to know more about state-of-the-art systems.
