  joined Havensack University Health Network in 2015\, and was last year na
 med as one of 50 US experts leading patient safety http://www.beckershospi
 talreview.com/50-experts-leading-the-field-of-patient-safety-2016/carol-ba
 rsky-16. Before taking on her current role\, she worked at Yale-New Haven 
 (Conn.) Hospital\, where she was Medical Director for Clinical Performance
  and Associate Chief of Patient Safety and Quality. She trained in emergen
 cy medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York\, and e
 arned an MBA from Yale School of Management. Dr. Barsky has also been the 
 Vice Chair and Medical Director at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
  There\, she coordinated the hospital's response to 9/11. She also redesig
 ned the hospital's emergency department\, overseeing the instillation of N
 ew York City’s first completely electronic medical record. Her talk will
  focus on her experiences of improving health systems.
