DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will discuss the possibilities to mimic black h
ole physics in fluid flows. The starting point is an analogy discovered by
Unruh between the propagation of sound in a flowing fluid and waves aroun
d a black hole. In these analog setups\, it is possible to test various bl
ack hole effects\, challenge their robustness\, and even observe them in a
laboratory experiment. In\na first part\, I will present ongoing research
on the Hawking effect and its analogues. In a second one I will discuss a
recent experimental observation of superradiance in an analogue flow.
