DESCRIPTION:A SpatialOS simulation consists of many "worker" processes\, e
ach of which can see and update a subset of the world. Workers may be writ
ten in any language\, and a single simulation might contain workers writte
n in several languages\, with each simulating a different aspect of the wo
rld\, e.g. one worker might be computing rigid body physics while another
is doing route finding. As well as coordinating the workers\, SpatialOS ha
ndles some of the tricky parts of building a distributed system such as pe
rsistence\, load balancing\, fault tolerance and state synchronisation. Sp
atialOS is in active development\, but is already being used in production
for a few large\, open world games and simulations to answer "what if" qu
estions about the real world.\n\nFood provided.
