DESCRIPTION:I am going to raise some questions about Williamson's argument
s for the hypothesis that the concept of knowledge can't be analysed into
more basic concepts. In response to his proposal that knowing is the most
general factive stative attitude I distinguish between a number of differe
nt approaches to the question 'what is knowledge?' and make a case for wha
t I call a 'sources' approach. (Suggested reading: Williamson\, _Knowledge
  and its Limits_\, chapter 1.)
