DESCRIPTION:Speaker Background:\n\nThe aim of the laboratory is to unveil
fundamental biological mechanisms and understand how these become perturbe
d during diseases\, most prominently cancer\, with the ambition that our f
indings may contribute to the development of clinical tools. We focus main
 ly on various classes of non-coding RNAs\, such as microRNAs\, snoRNAs\, t
RNAs and lncRNAs. In addition\, we study RNA binding proteins and RNA modi
fications. Special focus areas include the regulation of central tumor sup
 pressor pathways and autophagy.\n\n\nRecent papers:\n\n· Damas\, N.
