DESCRIPTION:Geoffrey Myers is Director of Competition Economics at Ofcom (
 https://www.ofcom.org.uk/) and Visiting Professor in the Department of Gov
 ernment at LSE. He has been an economist in competition and regulatory ana
 lysis for twenty-five years\, working on a wide range of issues including 
 market reviews\, competition investigations\, regulatory disputes\, and de
 sign of spectrum auctions.  Prior to Ofcom\, he worked at the Office of Fa
 ir Trading\, Oftel and the Jamaican Office of Utilities Regulation.\n\nGeo
 ffrey will be talking about promoting competition in mobile markets throug
 h spectrum allocation decisions in the context of the evolution of mobile 
 technology over time\, including the so-called 3G and 4G radio-spectrum au
 ctions in 2000 and 2013.\n
