DESCRIPTION:QCD at finite temperature is increasingly important and access
ible in experimental programmes and reliable theoretical predictions\, fro
m first principles\, are needed. After a short introduction to the lattice
formulation\, with some emphasis on methods at finite temperature I will
describe recent results for hadronic correlation functions over a range of
temperatures above and below the transition. In particular\, I will focus
on quarkonia and describe how it can be used to probe the nature of the q
 uark gluon plasma.
