DESCRIPTION:The presentation will focus on the role of Cardiac Magnetic Re
 sonance (CMR) in patients with myocardial infarction (MI)\, as well as the
  prognostic utility and limitations of imaging biomarkers\, illustrated by
  a case example. There will be a brief description of SoftMech- an EPSRC f
 unded to establish a world-leading interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematic
 s in Healthcare focused on soft tissue mechanics. This will be followed by
