DESCRIPTION:The discovery and characterization of primeval galaxies repres
 ent some of\nthe biggest challenges of current observational and theoretic
 al cosmology.\nThis kind of studies recently entered a golden era\, thanks
  to the\nunprecedented capabilities of the Atacama Large Millimeter Array 
 (ALMA).\nFar infrared fine structure lines -- [CII]158?m in particular -- 
 are\nexquisite tools to search for and characterize the most remote system
  in\nthe Universe. These experiments can be combined with detailed galaxy\
 nsimulations to achieve a solid theoretical understanding.\n\nI will prese
 nt zoom-in\, AMR\, high-resolution (30 pc) simulations of\nhigh-redshift (
 z~6) galaxies with the aim of characterizing their internal\nproperties an
 d interstellar medium. Comparing our simulations with\nobservations allow 
 us to draw novel and unique conclusions. In addition\,\nsuch comparison is
  fundamental to constrain feedback prescriptions in\nsimulations\, which a
 re a far cry from being fully understood.\n
