DESCRIPTION:Back in the eighteenth century\, almost everybody would have k
 nown about the ”longitude problem”\, the biggest scientific question o
 f the day. Many mariners\, lacking the ability to measure longitude\, were
  lost as soon as they lost sight of land. Thousands of lives and fortunes 
 were lost.\n\nThe quest for the solution occupied scientists for a very lo
 ng time. In the end it was John Harrison who found the solution\, thanks t
 o his “sea-going clock.”
