DESCRIPTION:Our daily lives are full of rich\, complex experiences\, only 
 few of which are engraved in our minds. What determines which experiences 
 will be transformed into long-lasting memories? How are these memories rep
 resented in the brain? In what way does sleep modulate our memories? Can w
 e learn in our sleep? We will discuss behavioural and neuroimaging techniq
 ues used to elucidate what a memory is and how it is created\, both in wak
 efulness and in sleep.
