DESCRIPTION:A uniformly recurrent subgroup is a closed minimal invariant s
ubset in the Chabauty space of a group. After explaining the relationship
between uniformly recurrent subgroups and stabilisers of minimal actions o
n compact spaces\, I will illustrate some examples in which a lack of unif
ormly recurrent subgroups leads to rigidity phenomena for non-free minimal
actions. &nbsp\; (Joint works with Adrien Le Boudec and Todor Tsankov)
