DESCRIPTION:The Japanese “Mingei”(folk art) movement developed during 
 the early 1900s strongly influenced by the seminal work of Yanagi Sōetsu\
 , “The Unknown Craftsman”.  Katazome\, traditional stencil dyeing\, co
 ntinues in the art of Yunoki Samiro whose 2015 exhibition at the Musée Gu
 imet in Paris attracted great interest.
