DESCRIPTION:I'll discuss how we can use the spectrum of QCD in a box to in
 fer the energy dependence of hadron scattering amplitudes\, and from these
  determine resonances. Lattice QCD can be used to compute the required dis
 crete spectrum in a systematic manner. I'll present some recent applicatio
 ns of the idea with particular focus on the light scalar mesons\, a0 and f
 0.
