DESCRIPTION:Alejandro Vinao is currently our composer in residence at the 
 Computer Laboratory. He is collaborating with Alan Blackwell\, investigati
 ng possibilites for innovative notations that might be used to describe mu
 sical processes not anticipated in traditional music notation.\n\nThis dis
 cussion session will include a breif description of the phenomena that he 
 wishes to notate. followed by an open discussion of what computational rep
 resentations and notations might be suited to such processes.
