DESCRIPTION:We discuss some recent work on the long time dynamics of some 
 dispersive models arising from the study of water waves. In particular we 
 discuss the existence and long time dynamics&nbsp\;of solutions&nbsp\;to s
 ome internal wave models derived by Camassa and Choi that are natural 2d g
 eneralisations of the Benjamin-Ono and Intermediate Long Wave Equations in
  the case of weak transverse effects. This is joint work with Jeremy L.&nb
 sp\;Marzuola.
