DESCRIPTION:A review of ‘A Philosophical Essay on Probabilities’ by Pi
erre Simon\, Marquis de Laplace\nIn this influential book\, the legendary
French mathematician Laplace presents many elegantly-composed thoughts on
probability and inference\, including his original formulation of Bayes’
theorem (which in truth is named after Bayes in an example of Stigler’s
Law of Eponymy).\nI have read this book so you don’t have to\, although
  it’s actually very good.
