DESCRIPTION:Last October I presented a design for the TIME project's messa
 ge-oriented middleware. In the intervening year we have gone from requirem
 ents to code\, which is now nearing public release. I'll be discussing wha
 t went according to plan\, what didn't\, and explaining the feature set we
  have today.\nThe challenges included structuring 17000 lines of C++\, mak
 ing it portable to other languages\, and dealing with concurrency problems
 . The current focus is on self-recovery after failures within the\ndistrib
 uted system\, and how to automate testing of distributed scenarios.
